The echovirus antibody panel includes serotypes 4, 7, 9, 11, and 30, which are most commonly associated with viral meningitis. Although cross‑reactivity exists among enteroviruses, most healthy individuals lack detectable complement fixation (CF) titers (>1:8). Detectable titers, especially those greater than 1:32, are considered diagnostic. A confirmed serodiagnosis requires demonstration of a four‑fold change in titer between acute and convalescent sera.
