Allergens, Food, Fish Profile IgE
Also known as: FISH GROUP
Use
This test is used to determine the presence of allergen-specific IgE antibodies to the fish group, which may indicate a potential allergic response. The correlation of laboratory results with clinical history and in vivo reactivity to specific allergens is essential. Due to varying sensitivity, the test should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical evaluation.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
Results of 0.10-0.34 kU/L may not correlate with clinical relevance, and a negative test does not rule out clinical allergy or anaphylaxis. Correlation with skin testing and clinical history is necessary to confirm allergy diagnosis.
