Measurement of specific IgE antibodies to trout (Allergen F204) helps identify sensitization to trout allergens. Elevated specific IgE may indicate that a patient is allergic to trout proteins and at increased risk for allergic reactions, including urticaria, pruritus, gastrointestinal symptoms, respiratory distress, or, in rare cases, anaphylaxis. This supports clinical decision‑making regarding dietary avoidance and management of suspected fish allergy.
