Anti-Human Epithelial Antigen, Ber-EP4 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: BEREP4 IHC
Use
The Anti-Human Epithelial Antigen, Ber-EP4 test is used primarily for the identification of epithelial cells in tissue samples. This immunohistochemical assay is crucial in the differential diagnosis of carcinomas, as Ber-EP4 specifically stains epithelial cells, aiding in distinguishing them from mesothelial cells and other tissue types. The test contributes significantly to the pathological assessment and can guide clinical decision-making regarding patient management and treatment options.
