Use
Used to identify unexpected red blood cell (RBC) antibodies in a prenatal patient’s serum and/or coating their RBCs. The results help assess risk for hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) and assist in determining Rh immunoglobulin administration. This test is specifically for prenatal patients and should not be used for non‐prenatal testing.
Special Instructions
Change effective as of 05/20/24: Refer to 3017611 (RBC Antibody ID Prenatal - Reflex to Titer). This test includes ABO/Rh typing, direct Coombs (DAT), and RBC antibody identification by one method. Titers and RBC antigen testing are reflexed when clinically significant antibodies are detected; additional charges apply.
