Use
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) stain is provided as a technical “stain and return” service to evaluate ERBB2 (HER2) expression to assist in determining eligibility for HER2-directed therapies in relevant carcinomas.
Special Instructions
Submit via electronic request or ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) with client number. Transport via ARUP tissue transport kit (#47808). Protect slides/blocks from heat; if sending precut slides, do not oven bake.
Limitations
Unacceptable conditions include non-representative tissue, depleted specimens, decalcified specimens, and frozen specimens. Frozen specimens are unacceptable; room temperature or refrigerated transport is acceptable.
