Special Instructions
The test is performed using the Thermo Fisher ImmunoCAP® methodology. Specimens need to be collected in red-top or gel-barrier tubes and transported at room temperature. Avoid gross hemolysis as it leads to sample rejection. Results are typically available within 3 to 5 days after specimen pickup.
Limitations
This test was developed and had performance characteristics determined by Labcorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as such clearance is not deemed necessary for clinical purposes by the FDA. The test should not be considered investigational or for research purposes. The limitations must be understood in the context of the entire clinical picture including patient medical history and other findings.
