This test is reflexive, including additional testing for tTG IgG and DGP IgG if certain conditions are met. The test menu and order codes should be followed precisely to ensure accurate diagnosis.
Limitations
The sensitivity and specificity of serologic markers can vary based on the stage of disease and the patient's protein intake. False negatives may occur in individuals with IgA deficiency. Confirmatory tests or follow-up tests may be required if initial results do not align with clinical symptoms.
