Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibodies (IgG, IgA)
Also known as: Celiac Disease, Transglutaminase IgG IgA
Clinical Use
Order TestUse
The tTG IgA antibody is useful in diagnosing gluten-sensitive enteropathies such as Celiac Sprue Disease and associated dermatitis herpetiformis. The IgG test provides diagnostic support for patients who are IgA-deficient or when additional confirmation of gluten-sensitive enteropathy beyond the IgA result is needed. These combined measurements enhance the sensitivity for detecting celiac‐related immune responses.
