Celiac Disease Comprehensive Panel with Gliadin Antibody (IgG)
Also known as: Deamidated gliadin
Use
This comprehensive panel serves as an initial serologic screening tool for celiac disease by detecting immune response markers—specifically tissue transglutaminase IgA (tTG‐IgA) and total immunoglobulin A (IgA). Measuring total IgA helps identify IgA deficiency (~2–3% of celiac patients), which could otherwise lead to false-negative tTG‐IgA results.

Limitations
The accuracy of antibody detection depends on the patient’s gluten consumption; a gluten‑free diet at the time of testing may yield false‑negative results. This panel does not provide a definitive diagnosis—abnormal results warrant further diagnostic evaluation.
