Chimerism Analysis With CD56 Cells (Transplant Monitoring)
Also known as: Cell Sorting CD56, Chimerism Analysis With Sorted NK Cells, Engraftment Monitoring Sorted NK Cells
Use
Monitor level of donor CD56 cells in the recipient (patient-host) of a stem cell transplant. Polymorphic loci determined in the preëngraftment testing are used as a reference for the evaluation.
Special Instructions
To schedule this test, you must telephone 800-533-1037, HLA customer service. Ship specimen to arrive in the laboratory between Monday and Friday. Adherence to shipping guidelines and schedule is important to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of results.

This test was developed, and its performance characteristics were determined by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The sensitivity of this test is 5% or less for a typical specimen, with an average purity of sorted cells being at least 90%. Proper specimen collection and handling are essential as improper conditions can lead to sample rejection.
