Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1 (HIV-1), Quantitative, Real-time PCR (Nongraphical) With Reflex to HIV-1 PhenoSense GT® Plus Integrase
Also known as: HIV-1 Plasma Viremia, HIV-1 RNA by Real-time PCR, Quantitative, Reflex to PhenoSense GT® Plus Integrase, Viral Load
Use
Detect and quantitate HIV-1 in plasma with reflex to PhenoSense GT® Plus Integrase (at additional charge) if viral load is >500 copies/mL.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The assay range for this test is between 20 and 10,000,000 copies/mL. The performance of this test outside its specified range may not be accurate. Hemolysis, use of green-top (heparin) tubes, or specimens in incorrect containers may lead to rejection. Additionally, improper handling or failure to freeze specimens properly may result in inaccurate results.

Collection Instructions
Collect in three lavender-top (EDTA) or three PPT™ tubes. Centrifuge within six hours of collection. Transfer plasma to screw-cap polypropylene tubes and freeze. Do not ship frozen in PPT™ tubes. If using PPT™, transfer plasma before freezing.
Storage Instructions
Freeze. Stable at room temperature for one day or refrigerated for five days. Freeze for long-term storage.
