Lupus Diagnostic Profile

Use
This profile is comprised of ANA by IFA, Anti-dsDNA by Farr(RIA), Anti-Sm, Anti-U1 RNP, Anti-Ro (SS-A), Anti-La (SS-B), Anti- Chromatin, and C3 and C4. It may be useful in diagnosing systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Special Instructions
Ensure the proper separation of serum from cells within one hour of collection and that it is transferred to a plastic transport tube before shipping. Follow appropriate storage instructions to maintain sample integrity.
Limitations
This test may not detect low levels of autoantibodies. In cases where results are inconclusive or in borderline ranges, additional confirmatory or reflex tests may be needed to support clinical decisions. The test results should be interpreted in the context of the patient's clinical condition and other diagnostic tests.
