RheumAssure®
Also known as: 14-3-3, 14-3-3 η Protein, ACPA, Anti-CCP, Anticitrullinated Protein Antibody
Use
Aid in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA)1,2
Special Instructions
This is a comprehensive panel that should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and other laboratory tests. For accurate RA diagnosis, evidence of currently active synovitis in at least one joint must be present, and the synovitis should not be better explained by another diagnosis.
Limitations
The results of the RheumAssure panel should not be used in isolation but rather in conjunction with clinical assessments because RA can be diagnosed in patients without all tests being positive. Moreover, individual tests within the panel may vary in sensitivity, and the classification criteria require the presence of specific symptoms and joint involvement.
