Bartonella quintana Antibodies (IgG, IgM) with Reflex to Titers
Also known as: Bacillary Angiomatosis, Cat Scratch Fever, Trench Fever
Use
Bartonella quintana infections have been associated with multiple clinical presentations, including urban trench fever, endocarditis, bacillary angiomatosis, bacillary peliosis, and bacteremia. The test helps diagnose infection by detecting IgG and IgM antibodies, with reflex titers for screen-positive results to aid in confirming infection and assessing severity.

Limitations
Cross‑reactivity may occur between B. quintana and B. henselae as well as with Chlamydia species, potentially causing false-positive results. Interpretation should consider clinical context, and confirmation may require serial IgG rise or additional testing.
