Cardio IQ® ASCVD Risk Panel with Score
Also known as: CardioIQ®, ASCVD Risk Panel with Score, Cardio IQ®
Use
This panel provides a lipid profile with reflex to direct LDL when triglycerides exceed 400 mg/dL, along with calculation of 10‑year and lifetime atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk estimates using race‑ and sex‑specific pooled cohort equations, in line with ACC/AHA guidelines. It serves to assess cardiovascular risk to guide treatment decisions, including statin therapy recommendations based on estimated risk levels. Special Instructions
Includes routine lipid measurements (total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, non‑HDL and calculated components) and a direct LDL measurement if triglycerides are >400 mg/dL at additional charge. The test estimates 10‑year and lifetime ASCVD risk using pooled cohort equations. Limitations
If triglyceride levels are extremely elevated (>1293 mg/dL), the direct LDL assay may be interfered with and the test cannot be performed. ([jdos.nicholsinstitute.com](https://jdos.nicholsinstitute.com/dos/questdemo/test/396420?utm_source=openai))
