Use
Human herpesvirus‑8 (HHV‑8), also known as Kaposi’s Sarcoma‑associated Herpesvirus (KSHV), is associated with Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS), including classic and AIDS‑related forms, and also some B‑cell lymphomas. IgG antibodies are found in >80 % of KS patients and about 30 % of HIV‑seropositive persons without KS, whereas <5 % of healthy blood donors exhibit detectable IgG against HHV‑8.
