Micronutrient, Antioxidants Panel
Use
This panel measures levels of key antioxidant micronutrients—Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), Vitamin A (Retinol), Vitamin C, and Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol, Beta Gamma Tocopherol)—to assess oxidative stress-related nutritional deficiencies. Such deficiencies may contribute to chronic conditions including cardiovascular disease, cancer, aging, and cognitive decline. Results inform healthcare practitioners for dietary or therapeutic interventions to support oxidative balance and overall nutritional status.
Special Instructions
Overnight fasting is required. Coenzyme Q10 supplements should be avoided the morning of collection. Vitamin C supplements and fruits should be avoided for 24 hours prior to collection. Specimen must be protected from light—use amber tubes or wrap in aluminum foil—and separated serum aliquots shipped frozen (can be refrigerated if shipping conditions allow).
