ReproSURE™ (Ovarian Reserve Profile)
Also known as: AMH, Anti Mullerian Hormone, assisted reproductive technology, E2, eggs
Use
ReproSURE™ is a blood test comprised of Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and Estradiol designed to provide information about ovarian reserve. Ovarian reserve is a term used to describe a woman's reproductive potential, including the number of oocyttes (eggs) she possesses.
Special Instructions
Correct blood collection timing is crucial for accurate results. Blood samples for ReproSURE testing should be collected on day 3 of the menstrual cycle, with days 2 or 4 as acceptable alternatives. Elevated FSH and estradiol levels beyond these days suggest verification of the collection date is required. This test is not the sole determinant for assessing ART suitability or other treatments.
Limitations
The ReproSURE test does not predict pregnancy or assess egg quality. It offers no absolute measure of reproductive potential, as factors like age also influence outcomes. Blood samples must be collected at day 3 of the menstrual cycle because the target hormonal ranges are based on day 3 concentrations. Suboptimal timing may compromise result validity.
