Anora™ Miscarriage Test
Use
Anora™ helps determine the reason behind a miscarriage by testing for chromosomal abnormalities in tissue from the pregnancy loss. The test can identify numerical or structural chromosome changes that may have contributed to the miscarriage. If a chromosomal abnormality is identified, it provides an explanation, potentially reducing emotional burden and enabling better planning for future pregnancies. Anora™ can help distinguish whether the abnormality originated in the egg or sperm and can differentiate between maternal and fetal DNA.
Special Instructions
The Anora™ test is comprehensive and returns results more than 99% of the time. Complimentary genetic information sessions are offered before and after testing with board-certified genetic counselors. The test can be used on recent or older miscarriage tissue samples.
Limitations
This test focuses on chromosomal abnormalities and may not detect all forms of genetic issues. It is important to understand that inherited mutations or environmental factors that could cause chromosomal abnormalities might not be identified. It does not replace other medical evaluations for potential miscarriage causes.
