Cardio IQ® Lipoprotein (a)
Also known as: CardioIQ®, Lipoprotein (a), Cardio IQ®
Use
Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), consists of an inherited protein attached to an LDL particle. Elevated Lp(a) is associated with increased coagulation and a 1.5–5.3× increased incidence of cardiovascular disease, linked to both early- and advanced-stage atherosclerosis. The measurement of Lp(a) provides additional risk assessment beyond standard lipid profiles and may help identify residual cardiovascular risk in individuals with otherwise normal LDL levels.
