Cardiolipin Antibodies (IgG, IgM)
Use
Cardiolipin antibodies (CA), specifically IgG and IgM isotypes, are associated with autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus and can be indicative of antiphospholipid syndrome. They are risk markers for vascular thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, cerebral infarct, and recurrent spontaneous abortion, and may also be elevated in conditions like idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, and primary Sjögren’s syndrome. These antibodies aid in identifying patients with a predisposition to thrombotic events. ([jdos.nicholsinstitute.com](https://jdos.nicholsinstitute.com/dos/cmclab/test/1118920?utm_source=openai))
