Phosphatidylserine/Prothrombin (PS/PT) Antibody (IgG)
Also known as: PSPT IgG Antibodies, aPS/PT IgG
Use
Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is an acquired autoimmune thrombophilia characterized by thrombosis (venous and/or arterial or microvascular) and/or pregnancy loss or morbidity in association with persistent positivity of a heterogeneous group of autoantibodies known as anti‑phospholipid antibodies (aPL). Although not included in the international consensus criteria for APS diagnosis, antibodies directed against a phosphatidylserine/prothrombin complex (PS/PT) have been reported to have a high association with venous thrombosis and obstetric abnormalities, and a high degree of concordance with lupus anticoagulant activity.
