Lupus Anticoagulant Profile (Esoterix)
Use
This test panel provides a comprehensive evaluation for lupus anticoagulant and related antiphospholipid antibodies. It includes measurements of coagulation parameters (aPTT, INR, prothrombin time, thrombin time, dRVVT with hexagonal phospholipid neutralization and platelet neutralization) along with ELISA-based detection of anticardiolipin antibodies (IgG, IgM) and β2‑glycoprotein I antibodies (IgA, IgG, IgM), enabling interpretation of lupus anticoagulant status and supporting diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome.
Special Instructions
Immediate reflex to aPTT mixing studies (test 117199) occurs if aPTT is more than three seconds above the upper limit. Plasma and serum must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of venipuncture. To avoid delays when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, submit separate frozen specimens per test. Specimens should be sent frozen in plastic transport tubes.
