Arginase 1 by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: ARG1 IHC
Use
This immunohistochemical stain (Arginase 1) is intended as a technical service (‘stain and return’) for the identification of hepatocellular origin in tissue specimens, aiding in diagnostic evaluation in surgical pathology.
Special Instructions
Performed as a stain and return (technical) service only. Clients must follow ARUP's Immunohistochemistry Stain Offerings brochure for ordering recommendations. Slides or tissue blocks should not be oven baked when sending precut slides.
Limitations
Only formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded tissue or cell‑block preparations are acceptable; frozen specimens are unacceptable. Specimens that are non‑representative or depleted may be rejected. Alternative fixatives or improper handling may compromise staining.
