The P504S (AMACR) by Immunohistochemistry test is used to detect the presence of P504S (AMACR) protein in tissue samples. Special Instructions

This test is performed as a stain and return (technical) service only. Ordering for this test requires an electronic request, and in the absence of electronic ordering capability, an ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) should be used along with an ARUP client number. It is crucial to protect paraffin block and slides from excessive heat and to transport them according to specified instructions.

Limitations

The test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is performed as a Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) in a CLIA certified laboratory.
