Limitations
Factors such as gross hemolysis, lipemia, icterus in samples, visible particulates, or bacterial contamination can cause sample rejection. The stability of the specimen as well as storage conditions can impact reliability. This assay may not detect very low levels of antibodies, and results should be considered in context of clinical findings and other diagnostic procedures.
