Rubella Antibodies, IgG
Also known as: German Measles Antibodies
Use
This test is recommended for immune status determination.
Special Instructions
The cutoff value for this assay is 10 IU/mL, aligning with guidelines that recommend this as an indicator of immune status. Testing schedules may vary, and additional time may be required for confirmatory or reflex tests.
Limitations
Factors such as gross hemolysis, lipemia, icterus in samples, visible particulates, or bacterial contamination can cause sample rejection. The stability of the specimen as well as storage conditions can impact reliability. This assay may not detect very low levels of antibodies, and results should be considered in context of clinical findings and other diagnostic procedures.
