Use
This assay measures individual estrogen hormones—estrone, ultrasensitive estradiol, and estriol—using LC‑MS for precise quantitation, aiding evaluation of reproductive and endocrine health, including infertility, menopause, ovarian disorders, hormone therapy monitoring, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and estrogen‑producing tumors.
Special Instructions
Norethindrone acetate (Norethisterone acetate) interferes with estrone measurement; do not use for estrone quantitation in patients taking this drug. Age and sex must be specified on the test request form.
Limitations
This test was developed and analytically validated by Quest Diagnostics under CLIA; it has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
