Detection of rearrangements involving the BCL6 gene at chromosome 3q27 (via FISH) to support diagnosis and classification of B‑cell lymphomas such as diffuse large B‑cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma; helps assess structural alterations like translocations or microdeletions involving immunoglobulin and other partner loci.
Special Instructions
Requires clinical history and reason for referral, including prior therapy and transplant history. Ship specimen at room temperature. If results cannot be obtained, the order may be cancelled and replaced with a Cytogenetics Communication.
