Use

Measurement of growth hormone (GH) levels collected at multiple time points (8 specimens) is used primarily in evaluation of growth hormone secretion disorders. It's particularly valuable in assessing short stature and distinguishing between low GH production and other causes of growth failure. Provocation (stimulation or suppression) tests with serial sampling enhance diagnostic utility compared to single random measurements.
