Immunoglobulin D (IgD) is one of the five classes of human immunoglobulins, accounting for less than 1% of total plasma immunoglobulins. Very high serum IgD concentrations can be found in patients with multiple myeloma and in patients with hyperimmunoglobulinemia D syndrome (HIDS).
