Legionella Environmental Culture
Use
This environmental test is intended to detect viable Legionella bacteria in water systems such as potable water, cooling towers, or other aerosolizing systems, aiding monitoring and control of Legionella risk. It can support water management programs and outbreak prevention by identifying environmental sources of Legionella contamination.

Not provided.
Limitations
As a culture-based method, results are slow (typically requiring 7–14 days for growth and detection), and sensitivity may vary depending on laboratory procedures and sample quality. It only detects viable organisms and may miss nonviable or low-level contamination packets.
