This PCR assay evaluates T-cell clonality by detecting rearrangements in the T-cell receptor gamma gene. It is the preferred assay for determining T-cell clonality in suspected T-cell lymphomas, though false positives may occur in samples with many reactive gamma‑delta T‑cells. It provides a pathologist‑integrated interpretation to support diagnosis in clinical contexts.
